At a recent wedding celebration in SANTA FE I met at least one serious fan of this blog. In fact that happens just about everywhere I go. IT turns out this fan is also something of an AUTEUR as well and wrote a real bricks n' mortar book about SOUTHERN RAP. It also turns out I purchased this book for my brother for the xmas/hanukka occasion. He loves that stuff MANE!!

I was on the metro (DC subway) yesterday and I was behind someone with a bag from the "ARMANI EXCHANGE." So I was like why is it called an EXCHANGE? Can you really go there with some of your own clothes and exchange them for some HAUTE COUTURE like a barter system? I think we all know the answer to that is NO(!) In fact I'm pretty sure you can't exchange anything like for example HAND CHURNED BUTTER and exchange it for clothes. The only thing you can really exchange for some ARMANI is COLD HARD CA$H so I think it is a misnomer. I bet even if you bought something and tried to take it back they would say you can only EXCHANGE it for another item of equal or lesser value and not even get your cash back. So Kojak says, if you are into exchange with your neighbor and good vibes you should stay away from ARMANI because I don;t think theyre about THAT!

We're hear to learn about proto-history. That is, the time before time, or the land before time (in non-animated form).

For People who know: KOJAK and ROCKY used to listen to rap music djs on the radio station in CHI • TOWN and religiously tape the shows, then filter down the best songs onto select, and choice mixed tapes.

WHy do certain places get tips and certain places DO NOT get tips. and I am also wondering: SHould I tip people that LOOK LIKE ME or people who DON"T LOOK LIKE ME, ie demographically should I make considerations. Or avoid them. Sometimes I feel like coffee baristas are going to SNOOT DOWN THEIR NOSE IF THEY DON"T GET TIPPED BY ME. and I say. It wasn't so hard for you to poor this drink. I do harder work sometimes for no tips. like moving soil into people's houses. AH I can always fall back on that soil moving work to prove I do have a relationship with the Brix and Mortarz. You Remember How There Was A Problem A Few Weeks Ago With My Pans? Each One Had Smelled Like CILANTRO?! a stench beyond Comparison. So after much detective work the answer was not figured out. And the problem persisted. Even to the point of me having to throw out One special pan. A pan my Grandma gave me that Has an extra large Side on it FOR FLIPPIN SH*T. Here is a vital clue if you would like to play SLEUTH-HOUND. The stench was present on frying pans and sometimes even on Sauce pans..... HOWEVER it was not on our one CAst Iron Pan.

Hmmm! now why not?

Give up?
Because you don't WASH THE CAST IRON pan with soap. And Behold the new soap contains a Lemon and Verbena fragrance that UPON CLOSER SMellification is the CULPRIT. HA! mystery solved and next time. Not Lemon Verbena soap, because Hey thats weird that it makes pans smell wackly and like Coriander-cilantro nastiness

here is some real (as always on this BLOG) photographic evidence from an adveture. Can you spot the life? We went camping at a so called "hiker-biker-kayaker" site and it was hard work although some young kids made the trek too. THere was one young guy riding the mini-bike add on trailer thing behind his Dad. It was called the AFTERBURNER which means he could throw down some mad power for a 5 year old. He also shared some knowledge with us about "FOOD CHAINS" "THE ORCA EATS THE SEALS THE SEALS EAT THE FISH AND THE FISH JUMPS IN THE AIR" We observed all of these creatures in fact. His philosophy was mad deep. He ran out of the tent in the morning toward the bathroom with these words: "GOT A GO GOT A GO GOT A GO GOT GO...."

Coriander Stench and Taste

Recently a freaky and possibly evil phenomenon happened at our house. A dish was cooked in a frying pan, in fact in both of our frying pans. and The ingredients were Pioppini Mushrooms and Kale. The funny thing Started the next morning. I cooked an omellet in the pan (AFTER WASHING) and a freaky and evil smell came out. To me this smell is that of ANTS- the insects-ants. but it also is the strong smell of coriander. A quick disclaimer and another development in the narrative: We have just brought home 2(two) coriander plants. That smell exactly like the smell I am describing. SOunds like an easy answer right? Im just smelling the plants. BUT WRONG. because the smell SPECIFICALLY EMANATES FROM BOTH frying pans while in use. EVEN After washing multiple times... I am telling you it is a MAJOR mystery. and it freaks me out because in addition to smelling like ANTS, I also think that coriander smells like POISOUNOUS CHEMICALS :(--------- rocki.

ps: the question is: IS THIS an evil spirit or ghost? or chemicals

PPS more elements to the MYSTERy. This smell keeps coming from dishes that are cooked in the pan- including infesting a new pasta dish several days later.

Im here to complain, Again. This time its what I saw at the local weekly GREENMARKET. There was a corporate art project. I think that in itself sounds kind of WACKED, but I'll tell you more. Some of you may know that I am interested in "participatory" art works. And these days, this kind of thing is all of the rage in art worlds. ANyway there is a new american apparel kind of of rip off company. I can't even find them online, but they looked young and hip. and they have this project where you are supposed to write something on a sticker, then they stick the sticker on a barrell and send the the barrell to BP (british PeRROLeum). Its supposed to be a message. BUT THIS IS what I have to say.

How EASY is it to get people to "Participate" in this so called political action, when you are taking aim at SUCH an easy target,- ULTRA liberal williamsburg AT THE FREAKING Greenmarket. Wow folks, people are really "Feeling" your awesome corporate ethics that you have aligned to so easily build consensus. PLUS they ask for you email, OF COURSE you are going to be getting Stupid ass updates about this Waste of Paper, stupid project. WHY not do somehting useful instead of trying to make some dumb symbol that we all allready agree on and then stealing it and putting your name on it and trying to take credit for being and activist. REcently (EARLIER THIS WEEK!!! :) Me and woman went up to upstate. Two articles I would like to mention breifly: 1 At a very large waterfall that was TREACHEROUS and PRECAROIUS to climb and not legally recommended, but commonly attempted we split ways. I went to quest up to the top of the Dangerous and slippery deadly rock face, and Woman stayed. So I reached the top with the help advice of some locals who told me a good route behind the waterfall. I got up to the top of the cliff waterfall and Made EYE CONTACT with my partner. We waved. It was cool. Then I signalled to her "OK I AM COMING DOWN NOW" and this was interpreted as "COME UP HERE IT IS BEAUTIFUL". So that was where the confusions started. I made my way down and after a scary journey. She was gone. WHAT?!?!?!?! where was she. I asked all the people around and learned that she had gone up. A few minutes later my mind was blown when some people pointed her out at the opposite side of the cliff on the waterfall. It was like a Strange Dream I tell you. Luckily the local heros guided her down the mountain via a safe route. Apparently she scrambled up the rock face as fast as anyone ever had on the way up.

The other story is we saw a bear. not much explanation needed. It was a cub and during the day on a hike!

Yesterday the Temperature here in New York City. was OVER 90 degrees. I realized I didn't really have a viable pair of shorts. So off I went to BIG Ds to buy some. It is a huge cheap cheap cheap junk 99cent type of dept store. I found some shorts that had a pattern that I liked. I took them up to the counter and said
"Can I try these on?"
and she was like "?"
and I was like "Is there a dressing room?"
and she was took the shorts and started ringing me up.
So I got home and tried the shorts on and THEY WAS TOO TIGHT AROUND THE WAIST.
DAY #2
I went back to the store and said, can I return and get a new size
YES she said. So I got the 34 inches waist version of the shorts. NOW i knew I was going to have to "MODIFY" these shorts at home becuz they were way WAY LONG and "G"ed out. BUt I figured HEY +++ no problem. I just need to make them SHORTER. so I get to cuttin. then I realized YIKES these shorts are the right length now but peoples are going to see right up Me crotch cuz theys is so big. I tried to sew the pants legs a TIghter,. It seemed I was getting so close to perfections. PERHAPS TOO CLOSE for when I tried them on? It looked like a huge diaper. Or a bag on my rear. which you can see here. Needless to say these shorts are not going to be worn and they are destroyed :( :( :(:(:(:(:(

For example we recently figured out that our across the street neighbors BROKE-UP!! One girl moved out and there is already a new one moved in - EX GIRL to the NEXT GIRL - scandal!

We also saw one of our block's infamous resident SMOKERS about a mile way waiting for a bus. What was he doing there? No one knows. CLIFFHANGER!...!

they say it takes a village to raise up a young one and I think this applies to ANIMALS as well as children. There are some limits though like when people don't appreciate the fact that you really have to look after your own like in the CAFE where I am currently working and someone just let there kid run around chasing a ball . People where annoyed and noone really cared when the kid ran into a chair and fell down CRYING. Let me now introduce you to a dog called MAGIC...the last time ROCKY visited me (KOJAK) we were walking through my 'hood and saw a jaunty young dog looking lost. We COLLARED him and luckily called the phone # for his owner. The dog was reunited - end of story. Except me and me companion met up with MAGIC AGAIN yesterday LOOSE / LOST in the same spot. We called the number and the owner wasn't even surprised or overly appreciative. And plus the dog started to DO A NUMBER 2 while I was holding him! Next time demand a REWARD?

Hi Everybody! I am in PDX otherwise nown as PORTLAND-X. I will tell you one experience. I walked from the SE quadrant to the Downton. It was aprox 5-6 mile. on the way i stopped and hiked on MOUNT TAAAAAAAAAAAAABOR. which I think Kojak and Cermak (OTHER WRITERS ON THIS BLOG) toured me on some years ago. Now anyway!!! I brought the Binocularsss and ran into a Master Birdwatcher. I luckily ran into him at a location called FLYCATCHERS CORNER. Now to my interest He pointed out many a "Life" Bird to me for example PACIFIC SLOPE and Hammonds FLycatcherss and what do you know i saw them. He tol;d me that he had been going to that same spot and sitting under a tree and just wating and WATCHING for the birds EVERY DAY THAT WEEK except for 1. and I was like "cool" and then I left and of course he STayed at FLYCATHCERS CORNER so he could continue his personal Quest and I coudl COntineuy MIne. ROcky .

I spend a lot of time reading these days,as my thirst for the written word of Knowledge has not yet been quEnched. The weather is gorgious so I go to my park across my street and Read or I read indoors. I also bought a new book called Alexander and the Windup Mouse for a friend and this is so amazing you should read it if you haven't. ANyway the thing I read in un otro (another for all of you non spanish speakers!!!!!!!:) ) book is about rituals and magic forces in "primitive" societies. One of the things that happens in one of the societies described is just so: A Harmful force is emanating out of the forest. It is the product of a an evil soreceror that you can't see. So the solution is that the tribe picks out a "SIMPLETON" and sends him into the BUSH and he wanders incoherently. During is aimless wanderings in which he has become unhinged from society . and if he returns alive he has inadvertantly destroyed the curse.and he attains magic powers from NATURES

The other day I went to a plant Nursery with my woman-friend. Here we saw many beutiful species of plants. They were simply gorgeous. At the start they had this kind of experimental/reject room with many strange cacti and euphorbia that might look DERANGED to the unaccompanied EYE. Classification is something that many people that want to be involved with "nature" do. Classification is deemed to be NOT DESTRUCTATORY. They turned on the heat knob today and boy did it ever pump up. I walked through my old neighborhood quadrant and I noticed my old laundromat lady at the laundromat, so I talked to her and she she's not ready for summer. Mean Niether. I just want it to be cold cold cold. She also said she likes the colors of all the fish in the ocean and that those fish are calming to her. I also have to agree with that. She also said its cheaper to live in QNS than in brooklyn. Also she said it is better to fix your washing machines than to get a special repair man because they rip you off. And Finally we agreed that while it is nice to hang your clothes out to dry on a real laundry line, usually we are too lazy to do that. But the mechanical dryer damages clothes and a laundry line makes them REAL FRESH! if you want to take the time

I recently went to a meeting about coyotes. and there was one guy who has been following a coyote in Central park. so I wanted to talk to him, because I am doing an art project about coyotes. I mean come on. I think I have showed a good deal of dedication to this animal. ANYWAYS. so I went to this meeting and basically it was MCed by the urban park rangers , but then they just turned to the floor over to a guy who had created a thing called the Wild Dog Foundation. Ok I am thinking, that is appropriate. Well, he has some gradeschool style like science project trifold foam core boards that had pictures of coyotes and big capital letter handwriting... and this guy, he was like a kind of amateur stand up comedian. He kept making jokes about how he was balding and stuff- anyway- and then later I looked at his handout about coyotes. It is FILLED CHOCK FULL of grammatical and spelling errors. I know what you are thinking- Rocky- you must like this guy. But, hey yeah I do things like this guy does, but I don't try to pass myself off as a scientist. Here is one of his sentences

The growing concern now is that coyotes can live close to people which makes people unfairly afraid

Ok i kind of undstand but. Ok TO THE MAIN POINT OF MY LECTURE. I knew this coyote naturalist blogger guy was in the audience cuz the fake scientist wild dog long island enthusiast kept giving him shout outs. Oh- another point- I sent an email to the blogger trying to aquaint myself. Ok so after this lecture I go up to the blogger and try to say hi. and HE KNOWS WHO I AM and he makes like one little remard and then says" i have to go to talk to some other people" . Here is an interesting event that happend to me. I got a phone call in the bathroom and dropped my phone in the toilet :) .Luckily there was nothing else in the toilette other than water and my phone: IF YOU CATCH MY DRIFT?!?!??!????! Well thank gracious. Here is the good ending to my story. I washed and toweled off my phone and IT STILL WORKS like the real workhorse that I would like to beleive it is.

This is more against ice dancing and how it embodies wackness in the form of twizzels and of course in HYPER THEatrical costuming and Imperialized Exoticisms as seen here.

Now since when did theater freaks get to have an olympic event. I can think of a few olympic sports that are not represented and I would Personally (THATS RIGHT ME PERSON:ROCKY) vouch that they would be FAR far far FAR FAR FAR far far MORE MUCH more better than icedancing. ANd here ladies and gentlemen are the sports which might replace icedancing. you choose.

OK finally there is a dude- DALE begg smith who got the SILVER in the mogul ski run yeserday. Here are Kojak's thoughts: Azeriebajain were the first to impress with their "pantalones extremas" but I was not into the furry hat.

Bermuda had shorts, cool but a little too gimicky.

I agree that Monaco was pretty sweet. The consensus in our group was "James Bond villains"

Czeck got cut off on TV but upon further review I have to say they had a sweet modern style.

Finland was similar but was ruined by one guy rocking really bad light denim.

The end of the alphabet was generally weak, USA bad

NOW FOR ROCKY OLYMPIC FASHION REPORT
Last nite we saw a limited number of nations because olympics of the winter mean COLD and there are lots of nations out there that are not cold. But often time they send one LONE man or woman to represent. For example Jamaica, Pakistan, Ethiopia. I had two special notes last night FOR ME:: the big winners and the highest gold medal count in terms of fashion after our opening day was... MONACO. yes Monaco had fablulos sweaters and little scarves. I am going to give the silver medal to germany cuz, although their jackets were "TECHED" out they were pretty cool. and third place goes to mongolia, because their flagbearer got comments my lady friend

tv no useless?

As you may as well know the OLYMPICS= 2010 are starting tonight. And that leaves me.... you guessed it!!!!!! WANTING TO WATCH THEM. now I don't know about you but I have a regular TV. it is not HD. So basically--- can I even watch it any more? This is a question for everyone out there to help me with because I don't know. I DO KNOW that things have supposedly been digitized and now one cannot(?) capture Television signals through the air with an antennae?????? Or could I. I see videos on YOutube about how to make your own HD antena, but this is irrelevent to me because I have SD or STANDARD DEFINITION OF TEVELISTION SCREEN. Most of the interenetweb tells me WATCH online. well, ok, but is this SKetCHY()()(?()()()

Last week I busted my lip and had to talk with a lisp like thisssssssssss

I also punctured my heel with a worn out / defective soccer cleat but that healed pretty quick and thankfully no lock jaw :-{}

Today, my throat is sore "MAL A LA GORGE" if I recall my french 101.

I vote that INTERMISSIONS be reintroduced into movies. They are healthy and allow you to remember that you are in your own life! For example yeserday I watched a movie at home and HALF way up I got up and did something. And it was good. Because the movies alternate presentationalz of reality were loosened> then when I was ready I said. Ok lets finish this off.

Now they USED TO have intermissions as evidensed by the Picture above. And now that AGENT KOJAK had bravely TORN DOWN THE WALLS that held imagery back with his last "unicorn centric" posting, I shall celebrate progress. We are living in 2010. and blogs can also handle images as well as text. Until about 2 months ago this was simply not possible

I know why i have never had a credit card. BECAUSE THEY SUCK. thats why. I got one cuz I have to have it, because society has insisted and there are certain things I cannot do without them like rent cars. I rarely use it. But see there is where I get screwed, because I forget. Like in freaking octover i used it and JUST now paid it. STUPID!! I got stuck with over a hundred in late fees. I just keep ignoring the email statements. Becuase they don't look alarming and I don't remember using the card, so what gives. But man. Argh. ONLINE RAGE! I know its my fault, but why does society insist I have a credit card. I don't even get it. I have to change things and now become aware that the 10th of the month is coming up. anger anger anger!

{Pillow] Talk

Major issues this week on the literal subject of PILLOWS....

This sounds like a cliche but Cermak said it and its true "You spend 1/3 of your life on your pillow" so if the pillow is not working for you then that 1/3 may very well mess up the other 2/3!

Coming back from a brief hiatus, I realized that my home pillow sucked. Previosly I though I needed a BIG FIRM PILLOW but too big and firm was cramping my neck. So I went down to the only bathroom bedroom chain store accessible to me by autobus and picked out one that was simmilar but maybe a little less large - but is was still TOO BIG AND FIRM so had to return it.

I bet you know what is coming next, I got some more pillows but they were TOO SMALL AND FLIMSY. So double return on those (the chain store people were actually really nice about it all - i had the bags but they had gotten wet in the rain)

SO finally I shelled out some more money for some "INDULGENCE" brand pillows that are BIG AND SOFT and slept really really nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Kojak
