People used to write a few paragraphs maybe add in a picture or even run some SPell czech and do that all for the readers. Nowadays there is just too much electronic communication so most people can't even be bothered with more than a HYPERLINK + a handful of text characters. For example if you wanted to diss someone you might explain why but nowadays you might just tweet"you suck" at someone.
